The increase of the population in urban area will put pressure on land use for houses and other infrastructure. The provision of affordable housing and associated facilities without a spatial plan and control may result in widespread urban expansion that harms both people and the environment. Housing that is both sustainable and inexpensive should not be considered as a choice, but as a necessity. Unplanned and unregulated growth may result in huge land conversion into settlement areas. When it exceeds the area’s carrying capacity, it will cause many new environmental issues. Housing provision should has alignment with green building principles once it is located in area that corresponds to its spatial planning.
